Biographical / Historical
Donald Gordon Lester was born on April 23rd, 1920 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His parents were Hugh W. and Helen C. Lester, and his siblings were Hugh, Carol, and Mary Lester. His family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1925 due to his father's declining health. He and his older brother served in World War II. He became a professor of History and Political Science at Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Georgia. He passed away on April 8th, 1996.
